Case Review - Otterbox Defender Series for Motorola Atrix

We all know cell phone cases brands such as Griffin, Affinity, Roots, etc. However the folks from Otterbox brings us the top of the line cases for any phone out there with 3 variations - Impact, Commuter and Defender series.

The review I will be doing is for the Defender Series and the Motorola Atrix 4G. Yes the price is expensive but in the log run you know that there will be a piece of mind when your phone drops on the ground accidentally or someone decides to drop something on it.

Mistakes happen and that's why I feel that Otterbox in general is a great manufacturer of cell phone cases.

When I got the Defender Series for the Atrix ($49.95 USD/CAD), I thought this will be a really good case for it. It is but the downside is that its really bulky. I've dropped the phone two times and have not seen any physical damage on the phone itself.

Pros:

- Protective, hence great comfort level
- Comes with its own screen shield that's built into the upper part of the case. So you don't have to apply one yourself.
- Sturdy
- Useful for those who want to attach the phone to their belt with the provided belt holster.

Cons

- Really bulky and heavy, especially with the belt holster.
- Pricey

Verdict: 8/10, this phone is really useful if you want something that's protective, that will last you a long time and carry your phone attached to your belt on a daily/frequent basis.

If you don't want the belt holster, you can always go for the Commuter Series which is as good or get the Defender series but not use the belt holster.
